An expiring SSL certificate may take down a critical web service and this risk is now increasing

1.1.1970

As the maximum life-time of an SSL certificate drops to one year the certificates need to be renewed more often and this adds the risk of forgetting. Several examples of the consequences have been seen.

We can help to avoid this situation. You can create SSL certificates yourself and with the same tools from Entrust Datacard you can also monitor your certificates and manage their whole life-span. Certificates from other vendors and from your own PKI can also be monitored and you get the expiration warnings in time. Entrust also provides tools to centrally manage different CA/PKI implementations.
